Job Summary
Collaborate with Department Heads and Elected Officials to define the organization's long-term mission and goals, identifying ways to support this mission through talent management. Identify key Human Resource metrics and performance indicators, assess the organization's success and market competitiveness, and develop strategies to address critical gaps. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while researching and implementing competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs. Provide guidance to the Human Resources Team, assist with resolution of employee relations questions, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws. Draft and implement the department's budget, participate in professional development events, and lead activities related to emergency management during local states of disaster.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 10 years of Human Resources Management experience
- measurable record of leadership and accomplishments in the areas of employee relations, training and development, compensation and HRIS, and recruiting and staffing
- Strong verbal, and written communication skills
