Director of Human Resources

Oversee the Human Resources Department by leading a small team through talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, and compliance. Develop departmental goals, manage the HR budget, and resolve complex employee issues requiring high-level judgment. Partner with university leaders on leave administration, benefits matters, and investigations involving discrimination, bias, and Title IX. Administer the 403(b) retirement plan, lead annual open enrollment, and negotiate competitive benefit programs with the insurance broker. Manage semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll, ensure FLSA compliance, and conduct job evaluations to maintain internal equity. Guide the full-cycle recruitment process, including requisitions, job postings, and onboarding, while serving on search committees. Administer workers' compensation claims and manage unemployment reporting to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. This hands-on, working-leader role supports a mission-driven institution dedicated to educating students and strengthening the community.
