Job Summary
Director of Human Resources oversees payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations for Alma del Mar's two campuses. Responsibilities include payroll administration, benefits enrollment, handling employee relations investigations, onboarding and offboarding oversight, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Partners with school leadership to drive talent strategies, manages HRIS (ADP) and data reporting, supports leaves (Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave), and coordinates communications with managers and staff on compensation and total rewards. Leads development and implementation of HR policies and tools, supports timely responses to inquiries, and ensures confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information. The role reports to the Director of Network Operations, is full-time with the option to work one day per week remotely, and requires a bachelor-level degree with several years of HR leadership experience in a school or non-profit setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources in a school setting or non-profit with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Familiarity with federal and Massachusetts state employment law and compliance activities required
- Experience working in a K-12 public charter school preferred
