Job Summary
Director of HR & People Operations responsible for leading HR functions across the organization, including employee relations, compliance, policies, leaves, compensation, benefits, and HR systems; oversee recruiting and onboarding; coach and develop HR staff; partner with leadership on workforce planning; ensure compliant, service-oriented HR delivery aligned with Morrison’s trauma-informed care philosophy; contribute to data-driven decisions through HRIS reporting; support sanctuary-model implementation and professional development within a nonprofit behavioral health setting; requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of HR experience with 8+ in leadership; position based in Portland, OR, and offered as a full-time role with a salary range of approximately $117,000 to $130,333 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of HR experience, including 8+ years in progressive leadership roles
- Experience supporting frontline leaders in complex, high-accountability environments (e.g., healthcare, behavioral health, social services)
- Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and leadership coaching
Desired Qualifications
- HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP)
- Experience in nonprofit or human services organizations
