Job Summary
Director of Housing leads the City of Ketchum Housing Department and oversees housing initiatives, shaping an accessible, sustainable, and resilient housing landscape. Responsibilities include leading the Housing Action Plan, developing innovative housing strategies for a resort community, building and managing partnerships with developers, agencies, and community organizations, overseeing housing funding and grants, guiding policy development and zoning updates, monitoring affordability, and engaging the community and City leadership through clear recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, community development, or a related field
- 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in housing, development, or policy
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Valid Idaho driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and funding structures related to housing
- Strong communication skills, including presenting to public audiences and decision-makers
