Job Summary
Oversee the Housekeeping Department by supervising front/back of house, public areas, and laundry staff while establishing key control systems and monitoring work orders. Direct daily operations through morning meetings, weekly walk-throughs with the General Manager, and monthly department meetings, ensuring all areas meet Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Manage payroll compilation, conduct performance appraisals, handle hiring procedures, and resolve guest complaints or accidents with discretion. Balance room status nightly, maintain inventory, order supplies, and respond to emergency situations using M.S.D. sheets. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, training requirements, and brand regulations while focusing on guest service scores.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
