Director of Housekeeping and Maintenance

Job Summary
Oversee all maintenance and housekeeping functions, performing hands-on work including electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. Complete apartment turnovers with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail while maintaining property, grounds, and building systems. Execute preventative maintenance to avoid costly issues and supervise housekeeping staff through hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluations. Coordinate with other departments to keep the community running smoothly, ensuring work is completed safely, correctly, and on time. Be on-call for property emergencies and stay mindful of costs to complete projects efficiently. Monday–Friday, full-time schedule with on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of building systems: mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Minimum 3 years of property or facilities experience (healthcare preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC certification preferred but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, hands-on, and committed to excellence
