Job Summary
Direct the design and implementation of High School STEM curricula for grades 9-12 across the KIPP Capital Region, partnering with the Teaching and Learning team to support curriculum implementation through observation, feedback, data analysis, and targeted professional development. Lead regional STEM initiatives, monitor progress with assessments, and collaborate with regional and school-based leaders to promote student achievement. Oversee curriculum alignment with standards, facilitate data-driven instructional improvement, and build relationships with local STEM organizations to provide enrichment opportunities and potential career pathways. The role requires travel between campuses and includes responsibilities for coaching and supporting STEM teachers and leaders, with a focus on anti-racism, equity, and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in charter or public school environment in NYS, with at least 3 years in grades 9-12
- 3+ years of instructional leadership experience (coaching, professional development, or similar)
- Frequent travel between KIPP Capital Region schools (Capital District area)
