Job Summary
Lead complex internal and external investigations into allegations of misconduct and provide strategic legal guidance on government investigations. Collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel to resolve legal issues, prepare detailed investigation reports for executive review and law enforcement, and represent HPE before industry and government agencies. Manage government investigations related to the Standards of Business Conduct while reporting to the Vice President of Investigations. Travel regionally and internationally as needed for up to 15% of the time to support these efforts.
Required Qualifications
- JD or LLB
- 10+ years of legal experience
- experience from a top law firm (AMLA 100 or equivalent), government, or in-house legal team
- Proven expertise in managing investigations, particularly in ethics, compliance, and government contexts
- Justice Department experience
- SEC experience
- Strong judgment
- independence
- ability to handle complex, high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills
- cultural awareness
- Travel regionally and internationally as needed (should be no more than 10-15%)
