Job Summary
Director of Global Security at Verkada leading a global physical security program, overseeing physical security systems, threat assessments, supply chain security, and executive protection. Manage a four-person security team, collaborate with Legal and People/HR, and work with product/engineering to provide feedback on tools. Role is onsite in San Mateo, CA. Requires 10+ years in global security planning/execution, 3+ years of people leadership, deep expertise in risk assessment and threat management, program development from the ground up, and a track record of cross-functional partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Ten+ years of operational experience in global security planning and execution in corporate environments with exposure to international locations
- Three+ years of experience successfully managing a team
- Deep experience in physical security and risk assessment methodologies, including global threat assessments of geographies, geopolitical risks, physical locations, and personnel
- Deep experience in preventing and addressing internal/external security threats, including theft and unauthorized access to and disclosure of confidential information
- Familiarity with technical forensic investigations related to security incidents and mitigating measures
- Experience building a physical security program from the ground up
- Proven cross-functional partnership with Legal, Real Estate, C-Suite, People/HR, Finance, and Info Security
- Experience writing a custom business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan
- Experience creating security plans for executive travel
- Working knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business management, law enforcement, or related field
- Knowledge of global corporate security standards and metrics
- Experience in guard deployment and vendor/supplier management
- Excellent planning and project management skills
