Job Summary
Director of Front Office at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa leads the Front Office team to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations. Responsibilities include directing Front Office activities (check-in/check-out, room inventory, brand standards), budgeting and policy enforcement for profitability, coaching and developing staff (recruiting, interviewing, training), monitoring guest service trends and resolving issues, launching revenue initiatives through marketing and up-selling, and participating in daily reporting and Manager on Duty shifts. Requires 6 years progressive front desk leadership OR a 4-year college degree with 4-5 years of related experience OR a 2-year college degree with 5-6 years of related experience; specific OnQ PMS certification and/or 500+ room experience are preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and data-analysis skills are emphasized; experience with Windows OS and financial/data interpretation is needed. Occasional travel or flexibility for shift coverage is implied by management role. Salary range is $115,000 to $125,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years progressive experience in front desk leadership OR 4-year college degree with 4-5 years related experience OR 2-year college degree with 5-6 years related experience
- Specific brand experience/OnQ PMS certification (as defined by property)
- 500+ room experience
- excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- proficiency with Windows OS and ability to analyze and use financial/data information
