Job Summary
Oversee daily kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff training while managing the food service budget and inventory. Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and maintain sanitation standards across residential and drop-in programs. Build partnerships with donors, food banks, and vendors to secure sustainable food sourcing and implement long-term improvements to meal quality and efficiency. Foster a welcoming, trauma-informed dining environment for all guests experiencing homelessness or crisis. This role requires ServSafe certification and 5–7 years of food service leadership experience, ideally within nonprofit or institutional settings.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years in food service leadership
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage volunteers
- ServSafe Manager or equivalent
- Experience with budgeting, procurement, and inventory control
- Commitment to compassionate, guest‐centered service
- Strong interpersonal and cross‐department collaboration abilities

- Experience in shelters, transitional housing, or community meal programs
- Understanding of dietary needs for vulnerable populations
