Job Summary
Develop menus, wine lists, and pricing with the Executive Chef while monitoring food costs and daily specials. Personally monitor guest complaints, generate business through promotions, and hold weekly team meetings. Hire, supervise, and conduct performance appraisals for all F&B staff, including training managers and overseeing service, food, Hazcom, and life safety certifications. Purchase and input inventory, develop service standards and new concepts to increase profitability, and schedule staff to accommodate hotel needs. Oversee all phases of outlet operations and check areas for maintenance requests. Requires local market experience and ability to work evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Managerial Food and Beverage experience
- Local market experience
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work evenings and weekends and business dictates
- Good communication skills
- Be a certified food service handler
Desired Qualifications
- Restaurant pre-opening experience is a plus
- Upscale and lifestyle hotel experience is preferred
