Job Summary
Exempt, full-time Director of Financial Aid responsible for administering federal, state, institutional and private financial aid programs and ensuring compliance. Manages administration of aid programs, counsels students and parents, facilitates audits (including Single Audit), participates in scholarship strategy aligned with enrollment objectives, maintains data and records, prepares required federal reports, implements university policies on aid awards, oversees ERP/SIS-based processes, chairs the Financial Assistance Committee, and supervises the financial aid staff and enrollment operations personnel. Requires experience with government programs and university financial aid office operations, as well as leadership and ongoing process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree required
- Equivalent to three years of experience in the field of financial management involving fiscal analysis and planning (one year in a college or university financial aid office with responsibility for analysis of student financial needs, determination of financial aid eligibility, review of financial aid applications, and the awarding of financial aid)
- Two years of qualifying supervisory lead capacity
- Knowledge of federal financial aid programs
