Job Summary
Provide financial leadership to the marina operations management team, overseeing daily performance of the finance team and directing controllers, accounting managers, and the Accounts Payable Manager. Analyze operational performance regarding investments, acquisitions, and dispositions to ensure maximum profitability and identify corrective measures for negative trends. Manage and direct the overall financial reporting process, including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and capital expenditures, ensuring timely monthly, quarterly, and annual statements are delivered to management, investors, and auditors. Direct the annual budget, planning, and forecasting process while overseeing accounting aspects of marina acquisitions and dispositions in collaboration with Asset Management, Legal, and Human Resources. Ensure all accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance with local, state, and national regulations are adhered to at each marina.
Required Qualifications
- A college degree in finance/accounting or closely related field
- MBA
- CPA
- other advanced specialty designation
- At least ten years combined experience as Controller
- At least ten years combined experience as regional/corporate Director of Finance
- Recognition within the industry as a person with integrity
