Job Summary
Oversee the Finance and Medical Billing departments, supervising accounting and billing personnel while ensuring compliance with GAAP and maintaining documented accounting policies. Develop and manage the annual budget, prepare financial statements for audits, and establish cash flow projections to support the organization's operating needs. Direct the Medical Billing team, track key performance indicators, and manage government grant reporting for Texas Health and Human Services, including quarterly and annual cost reports. Prepare Form 990 schedules and Board of Trustees reports to ensure sound financial stewardship. This role requires a Bachelor's in accounting with 5+ years of experience and advanced QuickBooks skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or Business with an emphasis in accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- High energy and passion for The Warren Center's mission is essential
- Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills - ability to strategically interpret data and resolve issues as they arise
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office365: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration
- Certified Public Accountant certification
- Nonprofit accounting experience and government contract management experience
- Working knowledge of medical billing
