Job Summary
Assume responsibility for financial oversight of designated clinical portfolios, developing mission financial analytics to analyze monthly and annual operational results including volume, revenue, and expense. Coordinate with departments and executive leadership on strategic business plans, staffing strategies to reduce costs, and the annual operating budget process. Utilize the Cost Accounting System and General Ledger to develop analyses, monitor expenses against targets, and approve unbudgeted expenses. Serve as the finance representative for union negotiations, manage the finance team, and collaborate with data management and strategy groups to improve revenue cost efficiency and streamline reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 7 to 10 years minimum experience in a healthcare facility
- Experience in General Ledger and Cost Accounting methodologies
- Experience with budgeting systems
- Experience dealing with other System Wide Employees outside of one's individual department
- Interaction with Hospital Finance & Departmental Operational Managers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Problem solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
