Job Summary
Partner with the President and Senior Management Team to develop and execute financial strategies, deliver timely financial reporting, and lead annual budgeting and long-range planning. Oversee day-to-day accounting, cash flow management, and month-end close processes while ensuring GAAP compliance and managing internal controls. Supervise Finance and Purchasing staff, establish performance goals, and provide financial analysis for operations and growth strategies. Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and insurance providers, and lead cost optimization projects to drive profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial modeling
- Proficiency with financial software
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into strategic insight
- Ability to influence across departments and implement process improvements
- Experience working in a mid-sized company ($10M-$100M)
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
- Strong analytical skills resulting in actionable information for management team
- Must have excellent communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and integrity
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Strong knowledge of business and management principles
- Thorough, highly organized, and efficient work habits
- Ability to proactively address and solve problems
- Advanced computer skills specifically in Excel, Power BI, or ERP applications
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA preferred
