Job Summary

Lead the build of the finance, risk, and compliance infrastructure from the ground up, establishing revenue recognition policies across hardware, software, and services while owning the monthly close and accounting operations. Manage cash forecasting, lender relationships, and vendor credit programs, alongside the insurance program and enterprise risk register. Direct external CPA partners on tax compliance, multi-state sales tax filings, and financial responses to client and lender diligence. This senior leadership seat requires building scalable processes in a growing IT solutions integrator headquartered in Tampa, balancing hands-on execution with team growth. The role demands deep technical judgment on principal-versus-agent determinations and ASC 606 scenarios to ensure margin integrity and accurate reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience personally driving the monthly close in a lean accounting environment, with the ability to balance hands-on execution and team leadership
  • Experience in a business where capital, credit, or availability shaped what the company could actually do, and the ability to describe what that meant in practice
  • Time spent carrying a bank or lender relationship, or preparing lender reporting yourself
  • A track record of building foundational, scalable, resilient processes and policies; the kind that improves control today and still work as volume, complexity, and organizational expectations grow
  • Enough fluency with contracts and insurance to spot financial and liability exposure and raise it accurately
  • The judgment to know where your own expertise ends, and the confidence to bring in and challenge outside specialists

Desired Qualifications

  • Worked with asset-based or borrowing-base lending, including eligibility, ineligibles, concentration, availability, and covenant reporting
  • Come from a low-margin, high-velocity resale, distribution, or channel business
  • Modeled services revenue in a business where transactions span multiple channels, including hardware, subscription, professional services, and other service lines, with the ability to understand how each component affects timing, margin, cash flow, and reported performance
  • Made ASC 606 principal-versus-agent and gross-versus-net calls, particularly on subscription resale and other complex scenarios
  • Handled multi-state sales tax nexus
  • Been at a company through a comparable growth inflection
