Job Summary
Director of Finance responsible for leading a finance team and overseeing day-to-day and strategic financial initiatives. Key duties include managing monthly close (journal entries in QuickBooks), conducting variance analysis on monthly P&Ls, preparing financial packages for the Board and CEO, managing grants processing and reimbursement, overseeing deferred revenue, fixed assets, and debt schedules, supporting payroll/billing/accounts payable, facilitating annual audits, contributing to CFR and Medicaid Cost reports, assisting in budgeting and cash flow projections, and supervising Staff Accountants, Bookkeepers, and Fiscal Grant Administrators while taking on special financial projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4-6 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, budgeting, and General Ledger software
- CPA/MBA, non-profit experience, and public accounting experience are a plus
- Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to supervise a team and manage multiple priorities
