Job Summary
Directs operations and staff of Finance, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Revenue Audit, and Count Room. Develops, implements, and manages operational goals while monitoring performance and profit objectives. Oversees scheduling to optimize labor costs and prepares, monitors, and ensures adherence to departmental budgets. Develops and documents the Accounting System of Internal Control to ensure regulatory compliance with GAAP, SEC, IRS, and State Gaming Control Board regulations. Creates and maintains internal reporting processes for management decision-making and proposes plans to improve operating efficiency. Builds and maintains a qualified team, manages staffing decisions, and oversees staff development and training programs. Evaluates team performance, provides constructive feedback, and implements employee recognition programs to enhance engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Minimum of seven years experience in Accounting, Audit, or Finance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
- Skilled in formal communication and presentations to executive leadership
- Broad knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modeling
- Capable of operating in a highly confidential environment
- Must qualify for all licensing and permit requirements as mandated by federal, state, and local regulations
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA preferred but not required
- gaming industry experience preferred
- Experience with computer report writing software highly desirable
