Job Summary
Lead all financial operations, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while overseeing payroll, employee benefits, accounts payable, and financial controls. Prepare and manage the annual operating budget, coordinate external audits, and develop long-term financial strategies to maximize government funding. Ensure compliance with Ministry of Long-Term Care requirements, charitable reporting, and applicable legislation. Support collective bargaining, HR initiatives, and WSIB administration. Lead the finance and administrative team, mentor staff, and act on behalf of the CEO during absences. Report directly to the CEO and advise the Board on financial health and operational success.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive senior financial leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, audits, payroll, government funding, and compliance
- Proven ability to lead teams, build relationships, and communicate effectively with executives, Boards, and external stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
