Job Summary
Oversee accounting operations across multiple real estate entities, including property accounting, taxes, and insurance activities. Lead CAM reconciliations and construction accounting for three active developments, managing WIP reporting, lien releases, and asset component tracking. Build accounting workflows, SOPs, and financial controls while supervising and mentoring a team of 2–3 professionals. Partner closely with the SVP of Asset Management to establish and scale the finance function, ensuring timely reporting across all entities using Yardi. This newly created role supports a 30-year-old privately owned commercial real estate firm expanding its real estate division in Lawrence, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Commercial real estate accounting experience
- 5+ years of accounting experience including LEADERSHIP
- Experience with CAM reconciliations and job costing
- Hands-on experience with Yardi
- Experience building, leading, and developing small teams
- Strong process improvement mindset and ability to implement best practices
- Candidates authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
- Candidates who are not C2C arrangements or third-party submissions
