Job Summary
Director of Finance leads financial strategy, oversees monthly close and financial reporting, ERP system management (DelmiaWorks IQMS) and inventory/forecasting, drives raw material planning (approx. 40M lbs aluminum annually), ensures regulatory/compliance controls, collaborates with the board and senior leadership, and develops a high-performing finance team. Responsibilities include overseeing cash flow, bank reporting, tax filings, budgeting, cost tracking, customer margin analysis, pricing optimization, working capital metrics, and governance across order-to-cash, inventory, and ERP processes; lead forecasting and supplier negotiations; manage audits and annual reporting; and provide strategic financial insights to support manufacturing operations and capital investments. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a related field (MBA/CPA/CMA preferred), 15+ years finance experience with 5+ in management, ERP experience, GAAP knowledge, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to deliver board-level financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA / CPA / CMA preferred)
- Minimum 15 years of total finance experience, with at least 5+ years in a management-level role within a manufacturing setting
- ERP experience required; cloud-based ERP experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities; proficiency in Outlook, TEAMS, PowerPoint, and Word
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop finance teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to function in a professional manner; board-level financial reporting experience preferred
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application to accounting/finance processes preferred
