Job Summary
Director of Finance role leading strategic financial direction and operations for Bader Law. Responsible for partnering with executive leadership on financial strategy, capital allocation, budgeting and forecasting, GAAP-compliant reporting, and providing actionable insights. Will lead the Finance Department, set KPIs, coach the team, own month-end close and financial statements, oversee treasury, payroll, tax compliance, and internal controls, and drive process improvements and ERP/system enhancements. Requires deep experience in law firm or professional services finance, trust accounting, ADP payroll, and collaboration with executives to enable growth and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Controller-level or senior finance leadership responsibilities
- Proven experience leading month-end close and GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Strong experience supervising accounting and finance teams
- Hands-on experience with trust accounting and settlement disbursement processes
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, preferably ADP
- Experience managing treasury operations, banking relationships, and cash flow forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership on strategic financial decisions
- Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience designing and enforcing internal controls and accounting procedures
