Job Summary
Directs finance and supply chain operations for a municipal utility, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, investment portfolios, debt issuance, and rate design; leads procurement and fuel supply for electric generation; chairs the Board Audit/Finance Committee and prepares meeting materials; ensures GAAP/GASB compliance and utility regulations; develops long-range financial plans and performance metrics; leads finance and supply chain teams; relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a utility or municipal environment
- Knowledge of GAAP and GASB accounting standards along with FERC regulations
- Municipal bond financing and investments
- Utility rate structures and cost-of-service studies
- Electric market structures such as MISO
- Strong leadership, financial analysis, and communication skills
