Job Summary
Lead the company's finance and accounting function, overseeing day-to-day operations including AP/AR, payroll, treasury management, and GAAP-compliant month-end closes. Partner with ownership and executive leadership to drive annual budget planning, analyze profitability and pricing, and provide forward-looking financial planning through cash flow forecasting and scenario modeling. Supervise an accounting team, review journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure compliance with tax obligations and internal controls. Manage the 401(k) plan and coordinate with external advisors for audits and filings. Evaluate financial systems to drive automation and continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7-10 years of progressive finance experience
- leadership of accounting or FP&A functions
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- cash flow management
- financial modeling
- Proven ability to oversee both day-to-day accounting operations and high-level strategic planning
- Skilled in Excel/Google Sheets modeling
- familiar with tools such as QuickBooks, ADP Workforce Now, and modern ERP or BI software
- Executive communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial audiences
- Change management skills
- Proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, team-driven, systems thinker
- Must be available for in person work at Got Light's San Francisco office
- M-F: 9am-5pm schedule
