Job Summary
Director of Finance will provide hands-on financial oversight and forward-looking analysis for a hospitality property in Doha, overseeing general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting; lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; manage audits, regulatory compliance, and cash flow; collaborate with leadership on capital projects and strategic initiatives; build and maintain internal controls, banking relationships, and cross-functional partnerships; present financial data to ownership and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in a Director of Finance or equivalent senior financial leadership role at a large resort or hospitality property within the Middle East
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit management
- Proven experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a complex operational environment
- Strong proficiency in financial systems, accounting software, and data analysis tools
- Excellent understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial governance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams while fostering a culture of accountability and accuracy
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to senior leadership and ownership
