Job Summary
Director of Faith Formation for Children at Mother Seton Parish leads the sacramental preparation program (First Penance, First Communion, Confirmation) and oversees the design, execution, and evaluation of the faith formation curriculum. Responsible for recruiting and training volunteers, budgeting for the program, administrative oversight of registration and records, parent communications, scheduling, retreats and liturgy coordination, and ensuring policy compliance. Requires collaboration with the Pastor, ability to work independently, and strong communication and organizational skills. Must hold a Master’s degree in Catholic Theology or equivalent Faith Formation experience; role is on-site in Germantown, MD, with evening and weekend duties.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Catholic Theology or Faith Formation experience
- Experience conducting online meetings and activities for individuals and groups
- Experience with administrative functions (budgeting, scheduling, institutional relationships)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook, Google Suite)
