Job Summary
Director of Facility Planning, Engineering and Construction at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point leads a team of campus planners, project managers, and designers to manage all design and construction projects, coordinate the capital projects, and oversee space planning in alignment with academic needs and university goals. Responsibilities include developing and implementing project strategies, serving as liaison to internal stakeholder groups, auditing and directing budgets and reporting, supervising staff, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and experience in budgeting, sustainability, and energy management. The role requires coordinating with multiple campus units to deliver capital improvements and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. Key Job Responsibilities: identify and implement unit policies and guidelines based on project plans; develop architectural and engineering project strategies; act as unit liaison to internal stakeholders; develop and audit the unit budget and reporting; supervise at least 2.0 FTE; oversee short- and long-range planning for facilities; manage capital projects, renovations, and space planning; collaborate with user groups to understand facility needs. Compensation is a full-time, salaried exempt position; benefits described in university materials. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field, from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience related to project oversight, surveying, or construction management.
- Demonstrated experience leading, and working collaboratively with, a wide range of teams.
- Experience working with various constituents related to projects and communicating with a variety of audiences.
