Job Summary
Manage maintenance schedules, routine inspections, and repairs across the enterprise while developing plans to optimize space, utilities, and equipment usage. Lead capital expenditures, oversee security protocols for surveillance and access control, and develop emergency response plans for natural disasters and fires. Conduct regular safety audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to ensure OSHA compliance and maintain a safe working environment. Develop safety training programs, investigate workplace incidents, and coordinate with external regulators and vendors. Monitor key performance indicators related to facilities, safety, and security metrics to drive cost savings and operational efficiency. Collaborate with senior leadership to align objectives with broader company goals and ensure proper resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, safety, and security
- At least 5 years in a leadership role within a warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and security protocols in a warehouse environment
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in facilities management software, safety management systems, and security technologies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
- Must be able to work on the warehouse floor when needed including continuous time moving, regular transportation of freight up to 50 pounds (with team lifting heavier items), reaching, bending, carrying, etc.
- Must be able to work in an environment where the temperature matches that of the outside temperature
- Some Travel Required to our Salt Lake City location
