Director of Facilities, Plant Operations, Safety and Security (South Region)

Job Summary
Provide strategic and operational leadership for facilities, plant operations, power plant operations, grounds, utilities, and contracted services across hospitals in Cadillac, Manistee, Frankfort, and surrounding clinics. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets while ensuring compliance with TJC, CMS, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ADA, and other regulatory standards. Lead safety and security programs, participate in emergency preparedness and HICS activation, and drive preventive maintenance and quality improvement initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or facilities management, or an associate's degree with eight years of progressive facilities maintenance experience. Flu vaccination and immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, facilities management, business, or commercial real estate
- Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or electromechanical engineering technology
- eight (8) years of progressively responsible facilities maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or healthcare environments
- Working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related plant systems
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Knowledge of healthcare facilities regulations governing plant operations
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
