Job Summary
Coordinate and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, OSHA, EPA, and CMS regulations while overseeing electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and mechanical systems. Manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors to execute work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and emergency repairs, including regular inspections of life safety systems and landscaping. Maintain accurate records of activities and expenditures, develop maintenance budgets, and oversee inventory control for supplies and equipment. Conduct necessary repairs in rooms and common areas, ensuring all contractors hold current insurance and licenses.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in supervisory positions in Environmental Services, Plant Operations or Maintenance within a healthcare facility
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment and infrastructure maintenance
- Thorough understanding of OSHA, NFPA and EPA regulations as they pertain to facility operation and maintenance in nursing care facilities
- Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs and maintenance schedules for building systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening in accordance with state regulations
