Job Summary
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all events held at the property, including conferences, weddings, banquets, and corporate functions. Develop and manage event budgets to ensure profitability while maintaining high service standards. Build relationships with clients and vendors to secure bookings, manage venue logistics, and negotiate contracts with external suppliers. Lead the events team through training and performance feedback, collaborating with Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering for seamless execution. Monitor guest satisfaction, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and analyze market trends to drive revenue growth. Prepare regular financial reports for senior management. Bachelor's degree required with 7-8 years of progressive experience, including 3 years in a director-level role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 7-8 years of progressive experience in event planning and coordination, with at least 3 years in a director-level or senior management role
- Strong proficiency in event management software and property management systems (PMS)
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with demonstrated vendor relationship experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen, including budget development, cost control, and revenue optimization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and senior leadership
- Knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations specific to event venues and hospitality operations
- Demonstrated expertise in wedding and social event planning
- Experience with audio-visual technology and event production
- Knowledge of destination marketing and tourism industry trends
- Bilingual capabilities (English and Hindi preferred for Agra location)
