Job Summary
Develop and lead AIM's event marketing strategy across owned events, partner events, trade shows, and brand activations. Reimagine the current event roster with new formats, locations, and contemporary sponsor opportunities while building an annual Signature Events roadmap. Create differentiated sponsorship programs featuring custom activations, content integrations, and post-event engagement. Partner with sales to generate meaningful revenue and measurable sponsor ROI, then collaborate with editorial, audience, and creative teams to ensure strong attendee value. Improve company presence at external events by developing clear objectives, booth strategies, and lead-generation goals. Identify new concepts, venues, and partnerships to expand reach, then build marketing calendars, budgets, and reporting packages to track performance against KPIs including attendance, revenue, and profitability.
Required Qualifications

- Fresh thinking to event formats, locations, partnerships, attendee engagement, and sponsor activations
- Ability to build scalable processes that make events a stronger revenue and brand-growth engine
- Experience developing and leading event marketing strategy across owned events, partner events, trade shows, conferences, and brand activations
- Experience reimagining event rosters with new formats, new locations, new audience experiences, and more contemporary sponsor opportunities
- Experience building an annual Signature Events roadmap across priority verticals such as woodworking, home building, gardening, sewing, collectibles, and cooking
- Experience creating differentiated sponsorship programs that replace basic tiered packages with custom activations, content integrations, product experiences, VIP access, thought leadership, lead generation, video/social extensions, and post-event audience engagement
- Experience partnering with sales leadership to create sponsor-ready event packages that generate meaningful revenue, measurable sponsor ROI, and stronger advertiser retention
- Experience working with editorial, audience, marketing, sales, creative, and operations teams to ensure events reflect brand authority and deliver strong attendee value
- Experience communicating and working with dedicated consumer marketing leads for event promotion plans across email, social, websites, newsletters, print, digital advertising, video, podcasts, PR, and partner channels
- Experience improving company presence at events by developing clear objectives, booth/activation strategy, meeting plans, content capture opportunities, lead-generation goals, and post-event follow-up processes
- Experience identifying new event concepts, venues, cities, partnerships, speakers, influencers, makers, experts, and experiential formats that can create excitement and expand reach
- Experience building marketing calendars, budgets, timelines, campaign briefs, sponsor decks, audience plans, and post-event reporting packages
- Experience tracking event performance against clear KPIs including attendance, revenue, sponsorship sales, lead generation, engagement, audience growth, profitability, and sponsor satisfaction
