Job Summary
Director of Evangelization leads parish family faith formation, adult discipleship, OCIA coordination, and youth/young adult ministry; coordinates family faith formation opportunities for sacramental prep years and First Reconciliation/First Communion preparation; supports catechesis and volunteer formation; collaborates with clergy, music ministry, and other staff to align evangelization and formation goals; recruits, trains, and evaluates volunteers; plans budgets; and fosters a welcoming, collaborative parish culture with strong Catholic faith formation and outreach across multiple ministries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Catechetics, or related field
- Minimum of one to three years of experience working in ministry
- Must be practicing Catholic with ability to articulate teachings to varied audiences
- Excellent organizational skills and experience in public speaking and training
- Working knowledge of pastoral plans and documents concerning evangelization, family formation, OCIA and youth and young adult ministry
