Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise all components of the ESL program district-wide, serving as a liaison between central office administrators, principals, teachers, students, and parents. Implement the district's plan for delivering ESL services, manage the EL roster and student files, and oversee compliance with DESE regulations. Conduct or coordinate state and local assessments, facilitate curriculum development, and lead the EL Parent Advisory Council. Manage Title III grants, organize summer programming, and assist staff in obtaining SEI endorsements. Collaborate with teachers to refine instruction using student data and construct a three-year vision for PreK-12 ESL education.
Required Qualifications
- Massachusetts DESE License: English as Second Language (ESL) 5-12
- Prior experience working with students with English as a second language
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and parents effectively
Desired Qualifications
- MA DESE License: English as Second Language (PreK-6 and/or 5-12); Supervisor/Director experience preferred
- Master's preferred
- Administrator/ Supervisor/ Director experience preferred
