Job Summary
Maintenance Manager at an assisted living facility responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance programs, repairs, groundskeeping, safety compliance, and operations. Manages interior/exterior maintenance (HVAC, generators, elevators, plumbing, lighting, carpentry), conducts room turnovers, coordinates with external contractors, ensures fire safety and emergency preparedness, maintains QA records, supervises maintenance staff, manages inventory and budget considerations, and supports facility events. Requires 3-5 years in facility maintenance with supervisory experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC; valid driver’s license; knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training or certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or building maintenance (preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of facility maintenance experience
- At least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Experience in an assisted living or healthcare setting is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Background check and drug screening as conditions of employment
