Job Summary
Director of Environmental Programs at Port Tampa Bay will oversee the port’s environmental compliance and stewardship initiatives, manage environmental staff, coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders, lead permits and compliance measures (e.g., Storm Water Plan, Spill Prevention, and Brownfield remediation), direct environmental planning across PTB properties, mentor tenants on compliance, chair and participate in migratory bird protection activities, and provide technical support on environmental matters to Real Estate and executive leadership; requires strong leadership, budget management, cross-functional collaboration, and deep knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marine science, biology, chemistry or related science discipline
- Ten years of experience in environmental management
- Current Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Pass seaport security background check and TWIC
- Ability to lead environmental staff and liaison with regulatory agencies
