Job Summary
Director of Entertainment responsible for delivering a distinct musical and entertainment experience across 1 Hotel Austin venues, including curating and booking talent (DJ’s, bands, artists, speakers, promoters), designing playlists and day/nightlife activations, and coordinating with Marketing, Sales, and F&B to elevate guest experiences. You will oversee all entertainment programming, talent bookings, partnerships, sourcing of DJ equipment, licensing compliance, and reporting on entertainment operations. Must lead creative vision, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and build relationships to drive guest engagement and revenue across outlets while maintaining brand tone and cultural relevance.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Director of Entertainment or similar role in hospitality, nightlife, or entertainment industry
- Strong network with world-class DJs, agents, and entertainment talent
- Experience in entertainment programming, talent bookings, and partnerships across outlets
- Ability to manage budgeting, P&L, and reporting for activations
- Excellent collaboration with marketing, sales, and operations teams
- Strong communication, negotiation, and contract management skills
- Creative thinker with ability to innovate and elevate guest experiences
- Leadership and team coordination across departments
- Knowledge of licensing for musical content and AV/lighting integration
