Job Summary
Director of Enterprise Risk responsible for implementing and maintaining a formal regulatory compliance program by overseeing Internal Audit, Compliance, and BSA/AML functions, including privacy, high-risk accounts (MSB, MRB, hemp-related), and related regulations. Oversees enterprise-risk reporting/metrics (including third-party vendor risk management and business continuity); assesses and updates procedures to minimize loss exposure; sets departmental goals, evaluates performance, and coaches the Compliance & Audit Team; maintains records for compliance activities; stays informed on evolving laws/regulations and communicates changes. Requires 8–10 years of regulatory compliance/risk/audit experience and a bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or related field (Law degree preferred); strong analytical, communication, and project-management skills; self-directed with high attention to detail. Hybrid work eligible in Berrien Springs, MI, with occasional in-person center access as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; or an equivalent combination training and work experience.
- Law degree preferred.
- Eight to 10 years of similar or related experience and training in regulatory compliance, risk, audit, or appropriate experience for a financial institution.
