Job Summary
Lead enterprise-wide data strategy and GIS initiatives, overseeing data architecture, engineering, governance, analytics, and business intelligence platforms. Drive integration of data across financial, operational, and infrastructure systems while establishing standards for data management and reporting tools. Manage the organization's Geographic Information Systems program to support planning, operations, and public safety through spatial analysis and mapping services. Partner with cross-functional departments to identify operational improvements and mentor a technical team delivering analytics solutions. Ensure data platforms and pipelines are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs using enterprise tools and cloud environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Geography, GIS, Public Administration, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or related fields
- Experience leading analytics initiatives, technical teams, or enterprise data programs
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances as applicable
- Valid driver's license (if required for role responsibilities)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing and managing enterprise data platforms and analytics ecosystems
- Experience working with GIS platforms and geospatial data
- Background supporting analytics for complex operational environments (e.g., infrastructure, public services, or large organizations)
- Experience with modern data technologies and cloud-based analytics platforms
- Relevant certifications in data analytics, GIS, or cloud technologies
