Job Summary
Director of Software Engineering at UiPath leading the Vertical Solutions team to define vision and drive execution for AI-native product development across backend, frontend, and AI systems. Responsible for scaling engineering organizations, aligning technology investments with strategic objectives, and delivering production-grade AI applications leveraging LLMs, agents, and orchestration frameworks. Collaborative leadership across Product, Design, Data Science, and Business stakeholders, with a focus on high-impact customer outcomes, architectural standards, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native scalability. Requires deep expertise in modern AI architectures, distributed systems, frontend technologies (React/TypeScript), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes, and demonstrated success in leading large-scale engineering programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- 8+ years leading engineering teams
- Proven experience building and scaling enterprise-grade distributed systems and cloud-native platforms
- Strong expertise in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience developing production AI systems using LLMs, agents, orchestration frameworks, and evaluation methodologies
- Experience designing systems that combine deterministic software architectures with probabilistic AI capabilities
- Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, distributed computing, concurrency, and scalability patterns
- Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and modern DevOps practices
- Demonstrated success driving engineering transformation and organizational adoption of AI-powered development tools
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive-level decisions
