Job Summary
Lead the regional engineering hub in Amman by acting as the primary technical partner to Product, UX, and Sales teams while translating customer-facing initiatives into technical reality. Drive the strategic evolution of the tech stack, migrating legacy components to modern architectures and ensuring high-confidence, continuous deployments across PHP, Python, and React environments. Recruit, retain, and mentor a top-tier team to scale headcount from 15 to 30+, transitioning the organization from a flat structure to a tiered leadership model. Maintain a consistent four-hour daily overlap with US East Coast business hours from Monday through Thursday to ensure seamless global collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Professional-level fluency in both Arabic and English (written and verbal)
- Proven track record of modernizing legacy codebases and evolving tech stacks in a live production environment
- Exceptional ability to work effectively across departments and time zones, with a record of success on cross-functional initiatives
- Significant experience in full-stack development (PHP, Python, React) AWS, and automated testing
- Experience managing teams of 15+
- Clear vision for how to scale an engineering culture to 30+ and beyond
- Ability to maintain a consistent 4-hour daily overlap (Mon–Thu) with US East Coast business hours
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in EdTech, SaaS, or B2G (Business-to-Government)
- Prior experience shipping AI features and experiences to customers
- Deep roots in the Amman tech ecosystem and local talent networks
