Job Summary
Lead the development of Veeam's core privacy product suite by defining technical vision, ensuring architectural consistency, and driving operational excellence across Cookie Consent, Assessments, DSR Fulfillment, Breach Management, and Privacy Notices. Actively participate in architectural reviews and code sessions to build an AI-first engineering practice using tools like Cursor and Copilot. Own the architecture for a scalable integration framework, implement robotic automation for data subject requests, and streamline internal privacy risk assessments. Collaborate deeply with Product Management and senior engineering leads to align execution with business strategy while representing engineering in key customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with Go and/or Python, specifically for building high-concurrency, high-throughput backend systems
- Strong background in microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and message brokers (e.g., Kafka or RabbitMQ) for building resilient SaaS platforms
- Experience leading SDKs or integration platform development, with a focus on normalizing data and metadata for downstream compliance and security use cases
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows and the judgment to implement guardrails for team productivity
- Proven track record of managing and growing high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of PrivacyOps philosophies and global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with strategic organizational leadership
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
