Job Summary
Lead cross-functional engineering and maintenance teams to deliver property operations, capital improvement projects, and infrastructure upgrades aligned with strategic goals. Oversee building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, fire suppression, and energy management while managing large-scale renovations within budget and safety standards. Develop preventive maintenance protocols, enforce compliance with OSHA, ADA, and local codes, and integrate emerging technologies like IoT and sustainable energy solutions. Collaborate with executive leadership on capital expenditure roadmaps, vendor negotiations, and business continuity strategies to ensure minimal guest disruption.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large engineering or facilities teams within a full-service hotel, resort, or comparable hospitality environment
- Prior supervisory roles in technical project and facilities management
- Extensive knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, elevators, fire/life safety, and energy management systems (EMS/BMS/PMS integration)
- Strong background in facilities maintenance methodologies, preventive maintenance scheduling, and capital project management
- Demonstrated expertise in life safety and regulatory compliance aligned with OSHA, local fire codes, ADA, and brand standards
- Experience implementing emergency response and evacuation procedures
- Deep understanding of energy management, sustainability initiatives, utility cost reduction strategies, and water conservation programs relevant to large hotel properties
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships is strongly preferred
