Job Summary
Director of Engineering Masters – Tauranga leads strategic and academic direction of the University's postgraduate engineering programmes, driving growth, quality and industry engagement, supports student recruitment, retention and employability, and delivers high-quality teaching, postgraduate supervision and internationally recognised research. The role contributes to academic leadership and governance, staff development and the School of Engineering's strategic direction, with a base at the Tauranga campus and a salary in the listed annual range.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant engineering discipline
- recognised record of research excellence
- Experience leading academic programmes, staff and strategic initiatives
- Expertise in Civil Engineering, Structures, Construction Management and/or Sustainability
- Success in postgraduate teaching, supervision, industry engagement and research funding
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, diversity and inclusion
