Job Summary
Oversees engineering operations and budgets for the property; manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems; administers service contracts; ensures fire crew procedures and alarms; coaches and supports engineering leadership to manage controllable expenses; develops and implements an engineering operating strategy aligned with the property/brand; manages long-term preventative maintenance and asset protection plans; reviews financial statements to assess performance against budget; ensures compliance with regulations; maintains life safety systems and licenses/certifications; leads human resources activities and communicates department goals; directs timely completion of projects within budget; acts as emergency response lead for facility issues.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major
- 4 years’ experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area
- technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing
