Job Summary
Develop and execute engineering strategy aligned with company goals, establishing priorities, metrics, and performance indicators. Lead a multidisciplinary team across New Product Design, Product Deployment, and Sustaining Engineering, guiding development from concept through commercialization while managing workforce planning and talent development. Oversee product lifecycle execution from prototype to sustainment, ensuring deliverables meet technical, schedule, cost, and quality requirements while collaborating with Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations to mitigate risks. Establish engineering processes, standards, and best practices to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and compliance with industry standards. Manage departmental budgets and capital expenditure plans, supporting business cases for technology and personnel investments. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering execution with business objectives and foster a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Expert in the engineering discipline and systems which support functional processes
- Ability to think strategically and develop vision and roadmap for the technical group
- Proven track record in driving and implementing change to organizations
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or Business Administration
- Experience leading engineering organizations within hardware manufacturing, technology, defense, or industrial environments
- Materials or metallurgy experience
- Experience working in regulated, manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or technology environments
