Job Summary
Director of Engineering role overseeing hotel equipment operations, maintenance, service and repair to support guest satisfaction, cost control and profitability. Responsible for supervising the preventative maintenance program to ensure rooms and public spaces meet Hilton and AFP Management standards, training and supervising hourly Engineering staff, coordinating scheduling, payroll inputs, and ensuring energy efficiency and safety compliance. Manage energy expenses, participate in MOD coverage, and maintain equipment manuals and warranty information; drive adherence to safety procedures, incident response, and professional communications with guests and staff. Location-based duties include in-person management of Albany, NY facility with a strong emphasis on leadership, budgeting, and operations aligned to Stay Scores and hotel standards.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree and 3+ years related experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years related experience. Supervisory experience required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Certification as required by Federal, State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (i.e. HVAC, pool operation, electrical), property specific.
- Current certification and licensing to operate and repair the hotels boilers and chillers as required by the State of Florida.
- Valid driver's license for applicable state.
